April Favorites

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |

Hey guys! April is coming to a close so I thought I'd share will y'all some products that I've been loving this month.

1. I picked up this S'well bottle at a boutique last weekend and I'm obsessed! It's stainless steel so it keeps your drink cold for hours and it has a screw on cap so I can throw it in my purse and not worry about water spilling. I bought the 17 ounce bottle and it's the perfect size. I love it so much I may even have to get this one and this one as well. I also added a monogram to mine because I mean is it even mine if it's not monogrammed? I made mine myself but if can't DIY, I highly recommend checking out this etsy shop!

2. I received this Kendra Scott necklace as a birthday present. It's definitely my new go-to necklace! It pairs well with just about any outfit so y'all will be seeing it pretty often. It's also perfect for layering with longer necklaces! I also love it in silver and rose gold.

3. This is the perfect pink nail color! I usually stick to a nude especially on my toes for the summer because I hate repainting but this soft pink goes with just about everything. I brought this in when I had my nails done at a salon and they did about 3 or 4 coats to get the color to be opaque. I would say it lasted me almost a week before chipping but I think it would have lasted longer had I not chipped it at work.

4. This is the perfect light pink lipstick for summer! I was pleasantly surprised at how well it applied to my lips. It wasn't streaky at all. Don't forget the primer though! I wouldn't be surprised if I used this whole tube by the end of the summer.

5. I've always been a huge fan of my Jack Rogers Hamptons sandals but sometimes they're just a little too preppy for certain outfits. These are perfect for a more bohemian style outfit! They are the same great quality as my other Jacks but I would say they are actually more comfortable. I shopped all day the first time I wore them and didn't get one blister.

Let me know what some of your favorite products were this month in the comments!

Red Right Return to Summer

Hey y'all! It's officially time to start breaking out the Lilly shorts here in Texas and I couldn't be happier. My go-to spring/summer outfit is a solid colored top paired with Lilly shorts and Jacks. It's an easy outfit to throw on and still look put together. Summer is approaching fast and this will be my uniform throughout the season. Unfortunately these are an old pair so the print is no longer sold but I linked plenty of similar pairs at the bottom of this post. This top is so comfy and it's only $12! There are limited sizes available so I linked some similar options at the bottom as well.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

You probably think your mom deserves the world (she does after putting up with you) or at least like a nice piece of jewelry. Let's be real though. You're probably wondering what group on campus is serving free lunch today because you have to make $5 last until Friday. But no worries. I've rounded up some cute gifts that your mom will love (and you'll probably borrow before she can use it a second time)  that won't break the bank!

White on White

Shirt (similar options below) | White jeans | Crossbody | Sandals | Earrings | Necklace | Bracelet | Lipstick

Hey everyone! I know it's been a while since my last outfit post. The semester seems to get really crazy around April but it's my favorite month because this Sunday is my birthday!

I picked up these jeans last week and I am in love! I searched everywhere for the perfect pair of distressed, white jeans that wouldn't break the bank and these were only $30! They are the perfect fit. I love that they're ankle length so they don't get bunchy at the bottom but I could still cuff them if I wanted too. They will definitely be on repeat throughout the spring and summer.

I love the look of white on white and I decided to throw in some color with a bright lip. I'm not even even exaggerating when I say this lipstick is neon coral. I felt like it was a little too bold for me when I got home and tried it on for the first time. I decided to test it out today and I actually love it! I also love the color 'Tea & Cookies' from the same collection.

Jack Rogers are my favorite sandals that I pretty much wear everyday. They are so comfortable! I also love this white pair. Country Club Prep is having a surprise sale through tonight. Enter the code surprise me at checkout for a surprise discount. You can also message me on Instagram or Twitter for an exclusive discount that you can use at any time!

This tank was from Target last summer but I'll link some similar tops that would pair with these jeans below!

Podcast Series

Hey y'all, I finally got around to expanding on my tips for shopping on a budget. If you didn't see my video, you can check it out in this post. This time I'm trying out podcasting! I wasn't a big fan of vlogging. Now that I tried podcasting, I'm not sure that I'm huge fan of that either but it's all a learning experience! I think I've learned that I should just stick to writing. :) Anyways you can check out my series here. I hope y'all enjoy this podcast series. Let me know in the comments what y'all think!

Swimsuit Picks

This past weekend I went to the beach for spring break and it was such a tease! I'm so ready for summer now because that means more frequent beach and lake trips. We still have a few months to go but that doesn't mean you can't start swimsuit shopping!

For the Ladies

1. | 2. | 3. | 4. | 5. | 6.

Target is my go-to for affordable swimsuits. I'm usually not a fan of their entire selection but I've found the midi bandeau style tops and string bottoms work well for me! I also love this top and this top. The string bikini bottoms give the perfect amount of coverage and they come in tons of colors and patterns!

Aerie has a great selection and right now all of their swim pieces are buy one get one for $10! I love that their underwire tops go by bra size so you don't have to worry about ordering the wrong size. Their hipster bottoms also have great coverage.

It was hard to pick which one of these Lauren James swimsuits was my favorite! You can find more of these preppy swim pieces here. Message me on Instagram or Twitter for an exclusive discount at Country Club Prep!

For the Guys

1. | 2. | 3. | 4. | 5. | 6.
I can't vouch for the fit and comfort of these suits but my boyfriend loves his trunks from both of these brands! I will say they definitely look great on. Short inseams are coming back guys and Chubbies and Country Club Prep gotcha covered! Just don't forget the sunscreen when you unleash your blinding, white thighs. Don't forget to ask me about an exclusive discount to Country Club Prep!

Here's my guy modeling the second pair on the beach this weekend!

Happy shopping y'all!

Beauty Favorites

I don't usually spend a lot of money on makeup but I went on a little binge this month. I am absolutely loving these products so I thought I would share them with y'all! All of them are high quality but still affordable. I found them all at Ulta for under $15!

NYX Hydra Touch Primer

I like to wash my face, apply moisturizer and let it sit for a minute before applying primer. This primer is really lightweight and doesn't leave any kind of weird film on your face. It's perfect for the heat and humidity when you don't want to feel like you have a bunch of heavy makeup on! You only need a drop about the size of a pea.

NYX Lip Primer

I'm obviously a huge fan of primers. Primers help your makeup go on smooth, intensify pigments, keeps products from creasing and keeps you from having to re-apply so often! If you've never used lip primer, you will be amazed at how much more vibrant the colors of your lipsticks will look. I usually apply my lip primer and let it sit for a few minutes before applying my lipstick. I'm very pale and have light colored lips so I got the lightest shade- "nude."

NYX Lip Lingerie

This product is a liquid lipstick that dries matte. This is what got me hooked on NYX lip products! I bought one and was back at Ulta the next day to buy another. I had always been scared to try nudes because honestly some of them can make it look like you smeared concealer on your lips. However, if you get the right shade for your skin tone you can totally rock a nude lip. This line of lipsticks has at least one nude tone for every skin tone. I could seriously go on and on about how much I love this product! Pink lipsticks usually look best with my skin tone and both of the shades I have are more pink toned. On the left is "Ruffle Trim." This is a darker nude-pink shade. On the right is "Lace Detail." This one is more of a peachy-nude shade.

This product is also a liquid lipstick that dries matte. It's very similar to the Lip Lingerie. I love this product because it doesn't completely dry your lips out and it stays on for a while before I have to re-apply! The one pictured is the color "San Paulo." This is the one that was featured in my last post. If you're looking for the perfect bright pink for spring this is it!

Let me know in the comments what some of your favorite beauty products are! Now run to your nearest Ulta and grab these products!

Stripes and Bright Lips

I've been struggling to put outfits together for this in between seasons weather, especially when I have a long day on campus. This tee was comfortable for both the chilly weather this morning and when the sun came out mid-day.

Honestly, I'm getting a little bored with dark winter colors. Thankfully, I picked up this fun lip color this past weekend and it added the perfect pop of color to my outfit. A bright lip is the perfect way to throw some color in an outfit without being too loud!

I've been obsessing over NYX (especially lip) products lately! This lipstick was just as bright at noon as it was when I put it on at 8 a.m. Would y'all like to see a beauty post soon? I'd love to share my favorite products with y'all. Let me know in the comments!

Spring Fever

I am so bored with winter already! I've even starting putting away most of my sweaters. Since I can't get away with shorts and tank tops just yet, I'll just throw on some spring colors to satisfy my spring fever.
I know lavender is going to be on repeat for me this season and these amethyst Kendra Scott earrings are going to be my go-to accessory. This light sweater is the perfect mix of cozy with a spring vibe!

Happy weekend y'all!

Welcome to My Blog

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I have always wanted to start blogging but I wasn't sure how or where to start. This semester I got quite the push because I am taking two courses on social media and my professors are sort of requiring me to start blogging. However, I'm pretty excited to get started and learn as I go (bear with me okay). So in case you're like, who is this girl's blog that I just happened to stumble upon?? I'll tell you a little bit about myself.

I am 20 years old and in my third year of college. I am majoring in corporate communications at Lamar University. One day I would love to work in social media marketing! I love wearing bright, colorful outfits 365 days a year and anything sparkly.

Now for the outfit.. I'm wearing this tonight for a dinner date. Today had a high of 70 and I know spring is right around the corner (yay)! I'm a little sad to put away these booties though so I'm trying to get my last few wears out of them. This long striped tee is perfect to throw on for those days where its still a little chilly in the morning but warms up by the afternoon!

I can't wait to share more outfit posts and style inspiration with ya'll!
